About This Lesson
<p>This teaching kit provides a site plan and tour, a timeline, site photos and reconstructional drawings of Helmsley Castle, England. This kit supports you is asking questions such as ‘What were homes like long ago?’ or ‘The Civil Wars - was England ‘turned upside down’ in the 17th century?’ It also provides cross curricular links with Art and Design, Citizenship, Technology, English, Geography and Math.</p>
This is not practical for American teachers unless they plan on a long, expensive field trip to Britain. It could maybe be used as inspiration when teaching 7th grade Medieval Europe to detail lives of peasants during that time. However, I am sure this would be very useful in British classrooms when planning a field trip.
