About This Lesson
Children use a variety of sources to learn about life in the distant past through the study of a local prehistoric heritage site as well aspects of prehistoric life in their locality including homes, clothing, food and occupations. The unit also considers citizenship issues.
It is for Stonehenge in the UK, however, the concepts can be easily adapted for U.S. classrooms (teaching students about local history and archaeology). If it is used in the U.S. classroom, be aware of the changes needed to make it fit your classroom.
