About This Lesson

Lesson based on the art of these two reigns and including a “pictures from memory” group work exercise. Quite useful for teaching about the key issues of Edward’s reign; the fact that he was a minor and religious change. In teaching about the final picture it will be useful to know that the figure in the bed is Henry; he is pointing at Edward to regency council and the figure standing the Duke of Somerset; the Lord Protector. In the window in the background can be seen the spoliation of the parish churches which took place in Edward’s reign.
