About This Lesson
In this demonstration, students can get an overview of different types of radiation and can label them as alpha, beta and gamma. They can also see that there are different ways of detecting the different types of radiation.

The web video, which is so easy to download, is brilliant. I haven't been trained (although used them in other schools) to use my current schools' radiation sources yet and this video is a great way of showing the penetration power of alpha, beta and gamma. Voice is not 'fuddy duddy' as my pupils have often remarked before!
