About This Lesson
Resource of two linked lessons which explore family life in rural Uganda. Children learn about the lives of families affected by poverty and discover what things make lives; particularly of mothers; hard. In extension activities children explore what they would do to help these families. Session two shows the commonality of some concerns of mothers all over the world; and explores simple but effective ways family life in rural Uganda can be improved. Visual resource and handouts supplied. This resource would be a useful focus for Mother's Day; but will be effective all year round.
