About This Lesson

Used with grades 9-11 This works really well with kids with learning difficulties too. You will also need money printed out or monopoly money. In groups get the students to take it in turns to take the role of the bank; customer shop etc. Explain that in real life the money is transferred electronically but they are using cash to demonstrate how it works. Get the group to role play a sale and money transaction a few times first with the debit card and then with the credit card so they learn the difference between the two. Discussions about credit cards and debt could follow.
