This is an excellent tarsia on simplifying expressions, it is quite extensive and covers a lot of different examples some of which involve brackets and divisions. This would make a great main activity to assess how well students could deal with something a little more complex when simplifying expressions. Students could work in threes probably as it is quite large and may take too long in pairs, thank you for sharing.
