About This Lesson
I wrote the 'characters' document on yellowed paper as diary entries and gave one to each table I gave them pictures appropriate to each diary entry and some props; such as a Victorian boy's car; a slate pand chalk; etc. The children worked in pairs to figure out as much as they could about the characters in relation to Victorian lifestyles. One person from each table to came out for a multiple hotseat activity; where the characters discussed their opinions and the rest of the class questioned them to find out more.
A fantastic lesson for children to use their thinking skills. Children will love this lesson and learn a great deal. Brilliant for children to work together and listen to one another to reach their answers.
