About This Lesson

This is a game loosely based on the gameshow classic "Jeopardy". At first; students have to form groups. Whoever starts; chooses a number in a specific category from the grid and then has to pronounce what is written on the slide (numbers are hyperlinked to slides). If done so correctly; the according number of points will go to this group. The words feature distinctive German sounds; especially those difficult for English learners of German; as well as tounge twisters and commonly mispronounced words.

This is an entertaining, elegant and efficient way of pronunciation practice including a competetive element. The examples in each category are well chosen and include typical difficulties for learners of German. I like the sense of humour, too! Thank you for sharing this resource.
