About This Lesson

Chinese New Year, starting 23 January 2012, is the year of the dragon. Images of dragons, symbolizing courage, control of nature and imperial authority are everywhere in China. In the Forbidden City in Beijing there are dragons everywhere and the most famous is the 九龙壁 Jiu long bi, Nine Dragons Screen. The wall is 20 meters long and the nine dragons are pieced together with 270 glazed tiles.

A great image for some cultural input - and topical too! Thanks for sharing.
