About This Lesson

Lesson on how to open a story in the imperfect tense - focus is on using the imperfect to set the scene; give descriptions and say what was happening (in the imperfect) when something else happened (in the perfect tense). Uses examples from Harry Potter in French. Final slide gives structure for students to write their own opening paragraph with homework to do the same thing in another style (e.g. love story; scary movie etc.)
