About This Lesson

This activity uses paper dots and different colored backgrounds to simulate natural selection on an insect population after multipe generations. Mirroing the change in color of the peppered moth population in England pre- and post-Industrial Revolution, students pretend to be birds and "eat" unsuspecting insects in this fun lab.
