About This Lesson

Students will explore the shape of a circle using the Sword Guard of Bamboo and Tiger as inspiration. By forming their bodies into circles, drawing circles with crayons, and working as a class to form large circles, students will understand the concept of the shape and learn how art can be found all around us. Appropriate for Early Childhood Education (Pre-K and younger). Teachers may want to provide other pictures that show circles.Teachers could also read non-fiction text about circles to help build students background information.
