About This Lesson
While I was shopping in downtown Chicago on the weekend before Christmas, I saw two students from my school working in the newly opening grocery store as cashier. This prompts me to write this opener with those two students as the background (I make up on their pay)
This assignment is to assess with topic of linear equation and its application. I use this simple assignment as an opener for assessment... Day 2 activity starts with graphing and connects to System of Equation with solving algebraically, by graphing then analyzing with checking solution (feasibility).
As an activity it is useful, however, the grammar and syntax lead to this being hard to follow. This led to a good class discussion about communication in mathematics after the class read and corrected the activity.
