About This Lesson

In this Presidents Day syllable sort, each child is given a recording sheet and set of pictures to sort. The pictures are of presidents and things and places related to them. Students cut out the pictures and glue them in the appropriate column: one, two or three syllables. This also serves as a quick assessment of facts students have learned about the presidents. I put two sets of pictures on the picture sorting page.
