About This Lesson

Time for another look at the direction of time — this time, we’re looking at memory metal, which seems to go backwards in time! Of course, it doesn’t really: it simply is able to return to its original shape when heated. It’s one more way to think about entropy, about how things get mixed up as time passes. (Nikki and Ryan had to see it to believe it!) Tags: Little Shop of Physics, Colorado State University, Brian Jones, K-12, Physics
