Watch Erika Thompson, Co-Director of the DNA Analysis Facility and Manager of the Genome Facility at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, discuss how her work is helping to revolutionize medical treatment. She supervises the day-to-day operations of the lab and assists researchers, physicians and scientists with their research projects; helping them carry out sophisticated DNA sequencing and other genetic studies. She also teaches cytogenetics and molecular genetics to health science students at MD Anderson and was named their 2010 Staff Educator of the Year.
