About This Lesson

Students will explore the argumentation behind the debate over legalization of marijuana in this 90 minute lesson. Topics such as the supremacy clause, federalism, and state law will be directly taught by the teacher. After reviewing the concepts and completing a chart to organize their ideas, students will debate as a class and develop skills in civil discourse. SEL skills focus on self-management and social awareness.
