We’ve been busy this school year and are thrilled to announce our latest site update: SML Communities.
Join us Thursday, June 27, at 2 p.m. EDT for a webinar where we’ll review all these exciting changes with you.
This free tool allows SML members to join or create open and closed communities. Within the communities, you can upload resources to share with other members of the community, and you can share ideas through the discussion board. Community owners can create their own collection of resources to share with members.
Here is a sample of communities you can join today:
Public Communities
- Share My Lesson Webinars: Join our most popular SML Community, featuring more than 275 webinars (or more than 275 professional development contact hours).
- Freedom to Teach: Have you heard AFT President Randi Weingarten’s speech on the freedom to teach? This is a movement we can all get behind. Join this community to find resources and share ideas and stories from the field.
- Subject Areas (this is just the start with more subject communities to be added):
- Math Teachers
- English Teachers
- Social Studies Teachers
- Science Teachers
Private Communities
- 2019 AFT TEACH Conference: Are you attending AFT TEACH this July? Join our community where you’ll engage with other attendees and receive material from presenters.
- AFT New Teachers: Are you an AFT member in your first few years of teaching? Join our latest community where you’ll find ideas and support for your early years in the classroom.
- AFT Members Only: Find exclusive content for American Federation of Teachers members.
Have an idea for another community you’d like to see? Create your own public, private or hidden group today! Here are a just a few ideas:
- A community for your school’s professional learning community
- A group for your entire school or your department or grade
- A place to share lesson plans developed during a summer professional development institute
