About This Lesson

OBJECTIVES

Content:

Students will investigate phases of a life cycle evidenced by journal entry.
- Students can journal using a word bank, draw a picture or language learned throughout current or past lessons.

Students will identify phases of a life cycle evidenced by labeling a graphic organizer or a diagram.
- Students can either point / tell, use visuals with a word bank, or place labels or complete graphic organizer/diagram

Language:

Students will sequence the life cycle using first, next, then and finally as evidenced by peer dialogue through teacher observation.

Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the life cycles academic vocabulary as evidenced by acting out each stage.

Cross-Cultural Connections:

Vocabulary words, graphic organizers and charts will be made available in students’ native language. Pictures of butterflies will be of butterflies from all over the world.
