Dr. Tami Leonard

HI!  My name is Dr. Tami Leonard and I am a doctor of education, specializing in curriculum and instruction.  I have been a public school teacher for 21 years as well as a professor of future teachers for the last 10 years. I have created a podcast with professional narrator Kevin Hayes in bringing families around the world a nightly bedtime story.  These stories vary in type and genre.  They will be a great addition to a nightly routine for all children and families.  Teachers can also use this site to have their students listen to the stories at night and then come the next day to work on further reading skills.  Chapter books are also included so that inferences and prediction can be a part of your instruction as a teacher.  Or, listen in the classroom and work on fluency instruction and imagery.  There are many possibilities.  Go to http://hayesmountain.com and find the nightly bedtime story to give it a try!
