From St. Paul, Minnesota, Kirinda Anderson is a mother to a 15-year-old child. They received their first Parent Teacher Home Visit (PTHV) when her daughter was in 2nd grade. The experience transformed her life. Not only did it empower her to initiate communication and relationship-building with her daughter’s teachers, it led to her life’s calling. Since 2016, Kirinda has served as a St. Paul and National-level PTHV trainer as well as a parent advocate for public education. Kirinda believes every child deserves the benefits afforded by a strong home-school connection and hopes that PTHV will soon become a standardized practice across the country.
