About This Webinar

Join Californians Together and Share My Lesson for a lesson on supporting immigrant and refugee students.

In today's increasingly hostile policy climate for immigrants and refugees, it is critical that teachers have classroom tools to address the anxieties and fears our students are facing. In collaboration with LMU Center for Equity for English Learners, Californians Together has developed standards-based, grade-span lesson modules focused on addressing detention, deportation and separation through literature-based discussions. This session will give an introduction to the lesson plans and provide attendees with other tools and resources to support immigrant and refugee students.

Professional Credit

Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.

Share My Lesson is now a New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements and an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approved Professional Development provider.
