I am the Coordinator Adult LIFE Treatment Program for adults who are developmentally disabled ages 21-80.
I have Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-6 & taught 5th grade for 20 years. I obtained my Master's degree in Administration/Supervision. I am certified in the following areas:
1) K-12 Special Education Instructor
2) LEA Special Education Supervisor
3) K-12 Curriculum Specialist
4) K-9 Principal
5) 1-6 Elementary Teacher
7) Early Childhood Supervisor
I currently supervise 3 Adult locations that teach independent living skills, social skills, life skills, job related skills, community awareness skills, performing arts & crafts, and exercise.
I supervise 20 instructors in the Adult LIFE PROGRAM. My teachers need teaching resources to help them meet clients needs in the above areas listed.
I enjoy my job and want to explore new ideas to help enrich clients daily activities @ Adult LIFE. Clients attend the Adult LIFE Program M-F, 8-2.
Adults who attend IQs range from PROFOUND TO MILD. Most clients function academically on the 3rd-6th grade level & need daily motivation to reach their highest level of functioning.
