Current doctoral student, Cohort 4, TAMU-T; M.A. and B.A. in English with Certification in Secondary Education; 13 years teaching experience high school English and language arts; and 4+ years teaching at Texarkana College, specifically Integrated Reading and Writing; Composition, 1301 and 1302; and World Literature I and II.
I thoroughly love teaching and working with students, striving to encourage an excitement for learning. My greatest joy as an educator is seeing students meet their goals. I also endeavor to maintain connections with other educators who share my passion for teaching. I believe that continual education and knowledge of current research and practices, particularly in teaching English and Language Arts, are imperative.
