About This Lesson
Words in the English language are made of building blocks borrowed from numerous other languages, such as Greek and Latin. Knowing these components, or “root words,” helps students understand the meanings of unfamiliar words without having to consult a dictionary, which in turn, makes them better readers, writers, and speakers.
Great! Took the liberty of translating it into Spanish. Fun to see how much influence of Latin and Greek you can find in both languages!
