About This Lesson
In this simple, collaborative art activity, students will explore the question: What is a hero, and how can you show gratitude to those who act heroically?
Inspired by the outpouring of support and words of compassion and gratitude that came in the aftermath of 9/11, students will be encouraged to write a letter or create an artwork to honor and thank those in their own communities who help in times of need.
