About This Lesson

Chapatis are commonly eaten in East Africa (as well as across Asia) and make a fun 'global' alternative on Pancake Day / Shrove Tuesday. You can use them as an opportunity to talk about food across the world and access to food and there are pictures on the link of food in East Africa. The first recipe on this file is for chapatis, and the other African recipes can be used to spice up your learning about African countries. You could also tie this in with our African Lenten Tree project, find out more on the second web link. www.sendacow.org.uk/newsletter-sign-up
