About This Lesson

Artist Toby Paterson's work and the public's reaction to it. The artist and viewers of his work talk about the role of public art. It can: inspire other artists; give access to art to people who wouldn’t normally visit galleries; provide space for people to think about the world around them
from a slightly different angle; stimulate ideas, feelings and
memories ... The artist says he isn’t concerned about what
people say about his art, but that he thinks that we, in the UK, lack education about culture and art.

The pdf file contains lesson plans and activity ideas.
