About This Lesson
Being Victor is a teen soap-opera designed to support teaching of the citizenship curriculum. In this episode, Lesley becomes a target of cyberbullying and decides to leave college. Free accompanying lesson plans can be downloaded at www.truetube.co.uk. Aligned to Common Core State Standard: SL.11-12.1
The lesson plan and materials are set for the UK curriculum but there is good info. with in it for U.S. use. The video clip though heavy with British accents is very realistic and pretty universal. Teachers will find this a good resource but should preview carefully. Topics are timely but you should determine whether they are appropriate for your students.
