About This Lesson
Sanga, from Bhutan – one of the poorest countries in the world, lost his sight from a vitamin A deficiency when he was eight. Despite this disability he has a positive outlook and thinks that had he retained his sight he wouldn’t have achieved all that he has.The pdf file contains lesson plans and activity ideas. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: SL.7.1, SL.8.1, SL.9-10.1
A though-provoking and stereotype challenging clip. Sanga has a very positive outlook and explains how his disability has meant that he has travelled and become the first physiotherapist, rather than staying at home looking after animals! Brilliant role model.
