About This Lesson

This is the first lesson from the unit, Burro's Tortillas and covers pages 1-7 of the story. This resource includes an interactive reading activity, where the teacher provides direct instruction in highly frequent vocabulary words. The teacher will read the first part of the story and students will orally summarize the text. A chant and written activity are also included in the teacher's guide. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: RL.1.1, RL.1.2, RL.1.3, RL.1.7, SL.1.1, SL.1.5, L.1.4, W.1.3
