Watch The Hon. Ann Claire Williams, United States Circuit Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, discuss her journey from teacher to lawyer to United States District Judge to her current position. When Judge Williams was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 1999, she became the first African-American judge on the Seventh Circuit. She has worked tirelessly to promote the development of attorneys and of her fellow judges both internationally and in the United States.
