About This Lesson

Students trap air in an Erlenmeyer flask with a balloon, and then expose the flask to a variety of temperatures. They perform measurements of the balloon's volume at a variety of temperatures and use their data to develop the formula that quantifies the relationship between gas volume and temperature, Charles Law.
