About This Lesson

To help your students get the most out of your lessons, you need to plan logical, coherent, supportive, focused lessons. These highlights of Basic Instructional Design are the steps lessons need to follow so kids learn what we're teaching. NOTE: Most of your time, especially when teaching a new skill, will be spent in step 5. As you are slowly guiding the kids through practicing the new skill, very gradually release more of the burden of the work onto them. This can take days for difficult concepts. This lesson design supports the Danielson Framework Component 1E.
