About This Lesson

A short, stylised film consisting of a music track and video, but without words or audio commentary. The main images are of a coffee cup collecting money, and a young person drinking, smoking and eating a sandwich. The purpose is to hypothesize about or illustrate preconceptions about where money goes when given to a beggar. Comment: Provocative – opportunity to stimulate discussion and the use of imagery to convey a message. See page 7 of the pdf file for activity ideas.
