<p>In the interview with John Bird; founder of the Big Issue and candidate for Mayor of London, he talks about how he is helping people on the street (providing the Big Issue to sellers for 60p so they can sell it on for £1.50). Once on the streets himself, he shows an obvious concern for the plight of the homeless and the resulting problems, not least the fact that, as a country, we are wasting billions of pounds keeping the homeless in a hopeless and destitute condition.
