About This Lesson
A former gang member talks about how he reformed and now wants to make a difference to the lives of other young people involved with gangs. Jason explains why he became a member of a gang in the first place. It provided a safety net; he felt part of something, connected to other people in his area. However, he points out that gangs in different areas made it risky to leave his community.
