About This Lesson
As teachers, particularly those invested in social and emotional wellness, we all strive to create a warm and welcoming classroom. But usually we are not taught how to create a welcoming and nurturing space. The typical academic classroom is not conducive to talking about personal topics. In fact, the agreed-upon etiquette is just the opposite. The Project Happiness Curriculum challenges this, asking students to open up so that growth can occur.
