About This Lesson

Human digestive system consists of alimentary canal and associated digestive gland

The alimentary canal consists of the mouth, buccal cavity, pharynx oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum and the anus.

Salivary gland, liver  and the pancreas are the digestive glands          

The four types of permanent teeth present in human adult are Incisors, canine, premolars and molar

A thin long tube which extends posterior passing through the neck, thorax and a diaphragm is called oesophagus

The disorders caused by digestive system are a) jaundice b) vomiting c) diarrhoea d) constipation e) indigestion
