About This Lesson

A letter; which should be linked to questioning (I have uploaded a PowerPoint) and can be used in conjunction with a planning document (one has been uploaded) to guide children through the persuasive letter writing process. In this instance; I have written a letter to the head teacher about banning playtimes from school and discussed with the children her job role; i.e. keeping them safe; ensuring their learning; keeping them happy etc. We linked my letter back to those points; and their letters were then based on these points.

I'll have fun using this with my class - think their responses will be very well argued. Thank you for sharing.

This activity will definitely encourage students to respond, express and argue their point on this topic.
