About This Lesson

In this lesson, students will study some of the purposes of music beyond entertainment among different cultures in Africa, and learn that there are many diverse people who live there. After learning about some of the ways in which drumming and music are an important component of many cultures in Africa, students will discuss how this drum could have been used by the Senufo people.
