About This Lesson

This unique science program introducing students to the science of earthquakes and the risk of natural disasters in their region is inspired by the new film San Andreas (in theaters May 29) which tells the story of a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) and his estranged wife who make their way from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter following a magnitude 9 earthquake. Students also create a family emergency preparedness plan. VISIT WEBSITE (via link) for additional info and curriculum alignment. Made possible by Warner Bros.
