Classic Folk chord progression on guitar using slightly energetic strumming accompanied by a slightly funky drum beat.
I always think of popular music evovling from blues to jazz and rock n roll whilst forgetting about folk which leads me to ask:
Who were the first people to apply a straigt 8 beat/Rock beat to a 12 bar blues as apposed to a six-eight or swung hi hats?...
Green Onions without the swung hi hats is close?
Johnny Cash still had swing!
