About This Lesson

<p>These two images consist firstly of the High Street, Oxford, where workmen are using pickaxes and shovels to prepare a road surface. The second is a view of Liverpool Street Station and shows that by 1905 commuters were traveling in from the suburbs by train. The scene in this photograph shows a mixture of horse-drawn carriages and commuters.. Use the attached website to find lots more images of Edwardian life.</p>

The Edwardian Era does not directly correspond to any U.S. history standards. The link labeled "web: activities" goes to some useful primary source pictures through various times in Britain which could be good for World History, depending on the topic.
