About This Lesson

9 Minute Video Lesson

"So much depends upon imagination." This story focuses our attention on the false conclusions we can jump to without having all the evidence. Modernized from a Chinese parable, the story weaves through presumptions of guilt and redemption all fueled by imagination underscoring frightening analogs to our contemporary political and media biases.

This is a complete micro lesson on Social Emotional Development through the ethical lens of the Four Awesome Questions: Is it True?, Is it Fair? Will it Build Community and Better Friendship? Will it be Helpful to those Involved? Following the story, selected discussion questions are presented to engage critical thinking and authentic discussion.
