About This Lesson

I've made some cubes and some cubes with holes in. This challenge invites you to explore the difference in the number of small cubes I've used. Can you see any patterns?

A lovely idea for exploring 3d shape and for developing mathematical thinking and language.

Challenging, but difficult to comprehend without real world models to work with. I would recommend adding a resource providing directions and illustrations for manipulatives (connecting cubes or lego blocks) using the same concept as the web activity.
