I didn't filter it that way at all. I thought it was a fair basic overview of reality. I think maybe you are thinking in miniscule terms---stereotyping is real---you can rely on some of the information. I am amazed that this highly offends you, rather than academically concerns you. How many Republicans have you met or publicly heard speak which has them supporting gay rights, a women's right to choose, medical care for all, or affordable education. These are the characteristics of Democrats--not ALL, but a majority. Can't you at least see that as valid? So, this gave a fair view to me. It concerns me that though that you are highly offended---there is so much more to be offended by than this power point. Are you this vocal about injustices to others? Just curious.
I agree. As a future teacher this powerpoint is very biased. Not all republicans and democrats are the same. Everyone has a different thought and a different mindset. I thought i can use this powerpoint for some inspiration and addition informatiob but I am not going to use this because I want my students to think for them selves.
I am highly offended at the depiction of who votes democrat vs. republican. I disagree that this is what we should be teaching our students. Sounds more like indoctrination than education to me. I thought our job was to teach students HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
