About This Lesson

This lesson introduces students to complex issues of race and classism by learning the history of the Civil Rights Movement, analyzing the "I Have A Dream" Speech, photographing a named street or place (i.e., named after Martin Luther King, Jr.), analyzing the photography that serves as documentation of the current course of events, and then analyzing if this is what Dr. King meant when he delivered his "I Have a Dream Speech."
