About This Lesson
A lesson on the humanist philosophy of justice in Plato's Republic. Students are introduced to the tripartite soul; and look at the analogy with the ideal city. Ideas on how to get them to act it out.

The instructional activities and critically thinking exercises are very useful. The use of visual representations will enhance student understanding.

I loved teaching these lessons. The role play was fab. I split the class into Sparta and Athens then broke those groups down again into the three sub groups. They then came back together and discussed their ideas. I also finished with A3 posters titled Plato and Justice. They came out really well especially with the top set. Thanks!
